About Me

 

Knee high to a Grass hopper…

From an early age I was always under someones feet in the Kitchen, normally creating mischief but always keeping one eye on the bubbling pots and a keen nose in the air for the smells filling the room. My Fathers grandparents were originally from the North of Italy and an interest in the Mediterranean cuisine has always, and remains to be, one of the influencing passions in my cooking. 

 

When I thought I knew everything and knew little to nothing…

While living in the UK I was fortunate enough to cut my culinary teeth in some great kitchens in London. These early years shaped my explorative mind towards cooking. I began by making sandwiches in a basement kitchen in Belgravia. Under the guidance of a great (and very patient!) chef managed to progress through the different kitchen sections, with Pastry being one of my favourite. 

 

Globe trotting…

I’ve always had itchy feet and I was fortunate to spend several years working in the private sector. After a crazy season on a private yacht in the Med, I lived and cooked for periods throughout Europe and Thailand. An amazing experience that opened my eyes to the different cuisines this wonderful world has to offer. 

 

The here and now…

An extremely happy father and husband living in Greece. I spend my time researching recipes and exploring the culinary world. I have fun documenting my recipes here on my website and creating video content which is available to watch here on my site and on youTube.
